Posted by Rossen

In late June, happened a great opportunity for walk to the volcanic hills of the extinct volcano "Kozjuh."Although the highest point of the hills is only 280 m, they are easily visible against the background of equal Petrich plain. The erosion action has led to the differentiation of several hills near the Struma River, part of the cone of paleo-volcano "Kozjuh" and the formation of the unique landscape without analogue in the country. Here, because of great diversity of birds is built first Bulgarian Ornithological Station, in which are studied bird migration.
